FYI: The National History Day Website is NHD.org.
The theme for 2010-2011 is : DEBATE & DIPLOMACY in HISTORY: Successes, failures adn consequneces.

WHAT IS A BOOKMARK READING? We use a thematic approach to our study of History.
Since students will not be reading the text from cover to cover, they read sections according to the theme.

Each student has a preprinted "bookmark" with the assigned readings to learn vocabulary and prepare for class activities.
Students may use the  bookmark to read ahead when they know of absences  and to plan ahead.
Our next unit is entitled War and Peace.
